Colton was saved at 18 after overhearing the gospel in the backseat of a friend’s truck. Since then, by God’s grace, he has sought to grow in his enjoyment of the triune God. An Arkansas native, Colton moved to Louisville, Kentucky to attend Southern Seminary, where he fell in love with God’s design for the local church. Even more importantly, Colton fell in love with his lovely New England wife, Lindsey. Colton and Lindsey have three boys and twin girls: John, Conrad, Thomas, Mary Kate, and Julia.

After three years as members of University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Corters moved to Richmond in 2021 to join what would become River City Baptist Church. After two years working for the church part-time, Colton joined the RCBC staff full-time in August 2025.

When not chasing his children around, you’ll find Colton reading, writing, cooking, and watching basketball (Boston Celtics) or “soccer” (Tottenham Hotspur). Colton is excited to serve RCBC to the end that we might all see Christ’s glory a little clearer and, together, be transformed more into his likeness for the glory of God, the joy of our hearts, and the good of our neighbors here in RVA.
