Kyle was raised in the sunny city of Los Angeles. He grew up in a non-Christian home, where his parents divorced when he was 4. This was profoundly impactful for him at such a young age. But in God’s sovereign mercy, he used this tragic circumstance to draw Kyle to himself.

Fearing abandonment as a kid, he desperately wanted to please his friends as a way to find security in them. But in late high school, he was exposed to the gospel. He realized the security he was searching for could only be found in Jesus Christ. And so, convicted of his sin and certain of the hope found in Jesus, Kyle repented and placed his faith in him.

In college, God gave Kyle a desire to serve in ministry and also provided his greatest earthly treasure: his wife, Mary. Afterward, he and Mary moved to Louisville to grow in their faith as members of Third Avenue Baptist Church. He had the privilege of serving in multiple diaconates and as a pastoral intern, biblical counselor, Home Group leader, occasional preacher, and Sunday School teacher.

Over the years, the Lord deepened Kyle’s desire for pastoral ministry. In February 2023, with the desire to see the gospel spread through healthy churches, they moved their family to Richmond to join in the work the Lord had begun at River City Baptist Church. In April 2024, Kyle was instated as associate pastor. Since then, he’s completed a pastoral internship at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., which concluded in December 2024.

Kyle and Mary have been married for 12 years and have four young children. They have already grown to love the city of Richmond, particularly the people of RCBC. Kyle is humbled and thankful to serve as RCBC’s associate pastor.
